Lindsey Capp
My name is Lindsey Capp. I’ve spent over a decade studying human behaviour and the power of language — how we get stuck in learned patterns, and how words are used to hurt and create trauma. My work is about preventing trauma: preventing people living in it, preventing parents passing it on to their children, and building healthy, enjoyable, loving, safe relationships.
I’ve spent my whole life trying to understand why I found it so hard to stay out of abusive relationships — with my mother, my father, my family, my partners. What I found is an understanding of why we get stuck in emotionally abusive relationships, why we suppress anger and resentment through fear and anxiety, why affairs happen, why addictions happen, and why people perform the way they do when they’re truly suffering inside. I’ve studied it. I’ve lived it. And I’ve learned it to the point that now I help stop it happening — for people going through their own version of it: an affair, an addiction, a conflicted marriage, constant arguments, whatever the emotional pain.
You need somewhere safe, private, and confidential — with someone who understands the way you’ll pretend, lie to yourself, and avoid facing what you need to face. You don’t have to do that alone. I stay with you, and help you see the truth of your reality. It isn’t easy. But it’s possible.
From there, we face the pain of what was taken from you — and rebuild a life you actually love living, in relationships that love you back just the same: respect, care, love, affection, intimacy. No more wasting time building a life only to be met with upset, anger, sarcasm, shaming, and belittling.
What is Embodied Emotional Intelligence?
Embodied emotional intelligence is the feeling others get when in your presence.
This isn’t spirituality. This is understanding human behaviour at its finest.
We can all know emotional intelligence at a head level and get certificates but the work I specialise in is the real work that gets real transformation where somebody feels you - not just hears you or sees you.
Your nervous system settles.
Your reactions slow down.
Your choices become clearer.
You speak with more truth than ever before.
“I didn’t realise how lost and trapped I was until I was in conversation with Lindsey.
One hour completely changed how I see myself and my life.”
